How to Install Basenji 0.8 in Ubuntu, A Powerful Media Indexing Tool for GNU/Linux!

sudo apt-get install basenji

As said the automatic drive scanning demon has to be installed separately, to do that use the below command.

sudo apt-get install volumedb-tools
